Get Involved

There are many ways individuals and groups can volunteer their time and talents to Threads of Love beyond sewing, crocheting, and knitting. To learn more about how you can help stop by the workshop on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 9:00am and 4:00pm or fill out the form below. 

Items Needed:

Batting: Fairfield Quilter's 80/20/ (80% cotton and 20% polyester)

              MEDIUM - found at Walmart to be the least expensive

Fiberfill:  A Large Box - whatever is the cheapest

Fabric:  100% cotton with no polyester.  We need baby prints that can be used for diaper shirts and quilts (quilts are 36" x 42")

Flannel or Fleece:  Used for blankets and positioning aids  

Gift Cards:  We have a super shopper who uses every discount and saves $$$

Thread: Good quality for sewing

Yarn:  3 ply or 4 ply, mixed colors are okay.  Preferred colors: White (top request), pink, hot pink, mint green, aqua, blue lime, orchid, off white, and soft yellow.  Yarn should not have pomp, be wavy, feathery or have different textures.  Reasonable yarn at Walmart: Bernat Softee Baby, Bernat Baby Sport

We are on the campus of Oak Hills Church, Crown Ridge Campus.

 

From 1604, take IH-10 W to Camp Bullis Road. 

Exit Camp Bullis and take the turn around at the light.

From Boerne, take IH-10 E to Camp Bullis Road.

Exit Camp Bullis and go straight through the light.

 

Follow the access road PAST Summer Oaks Street 

The main Oak Hills Campus will now be on your right.

Pass the first driveway (marked for Oak Hills guest parking)

Take the second driveway from the access road 

and continue up through the parking lot, veering toward the left.

Threads of Love's building sits alone at the top of the hill.
