Linda's favorite machine is the black tried and true Singer sewing machine. Anyone remember the old treadle version?

Threads of Love started in October 1999 and one month later—in November 1999, Linda joined the group. That makes her the longest serving member.

Linda attends faithfully each week and is always cheerful and encouraging, as well as a good friend to everyone in the group. She's very helpful and always willing to do whatever project she is asked to do. She sews at each meeting, eagerly using the Singer sewing machine. Linda also had the honor of naming our new building. It was she who chose the name, "SARAH's Workshop."

Many of us at Threads of Love recycle, but Linda excels us all at being "green."  She makes good use of the plastic bags we bring her.

Linda also has been part of a local Crochet Guild, and is an avid bird watcher. The latter takes her frequently into parks where she volunteers to do bird watching and counting our feathered friends.

Her main "hobby,"  however, is her grandchildren. One daughter and son-in-law live in Pipe Creek with their four children—the youngest of whom (and only girl) was a micropreemie, weighing only 722 grams (1˝ lbs), and only 13 inches in length. Grace was born at 23 weeks and 6 days. She was in the NICU from August 5 until late October. TOL prayed for Grace, and also gifted her with TOL items during some of her early trials. Today, she is doing very well. Linda says she's very energetic—Grace doesn't walk, she bounces!

Linda enjoys nature and spends as much time as possible outside with her grandchildren, taking walks and studying bugs and leaves.

Linda's other daughter and son-in-law live in Austin with their dog. Her son and his wife live in New York with their family.

CONGRATULATIONS, LINDA!
WE LOVE YOU AND APPRECIATE YOU!
