Saturday, June 26, Threads of Love volunteers met at St. Thomas Episcopal to celebrate the satellite's ninth birthday. The birthday brunch also served as a time to honor the memory of Mannes Bumstead, who  was the founder of the chapter and its driving force. Mannes' husband Jim was the guest of honor.

Threads of Love Sarah Chapter Director Liz Page spoke to the ladies (and gentlemen) gathered, sharing the numerous ways that Mannes showed her heart for premature babies and Threads of Love. Liz also announced that Threads of Love will now be supporting the military hospital NICU's in Hawaii, Germany and Okinawa!
