In the August 2009 "Crossings," Oak Hills Church's ministry news, Sr. Executive Minister Jim Dye filed the following report:

"Saturday, June 13, at 10 a.m., a group of supporters and leadership of the Threads of Love Ministry gathered on the property for a symbolic groundbreaking. Present were Joe and Liz Page—Threads of Love Board Chairs, who coordinated the event, and volunteers of the ministry or Board Members included Marilyn Moczygemba, Dawn Wiley, Chris Bullard, Elaine Frazer, and Kevin Sheehan. Church representatives were Jim Dye, Sr. Executive Minister, Dennis McDonald, Minister, Elder & Chaplain for Threads of Love, and Doyle Jennings, Elder, Plant Engineer & Project manager for the Threads of Love building project.

Joe Page welcomed the group, and made comments about the ministry. Joe Page led the group in two songs: the first being "To God Be the Glory," and "This is Holy Ground." Following the songs and Scripture reading, Dennis McDonald anointed the soil and the site with oil, referencing scriptures from the Bible on how the people honored God and the place of His building by prayer and anointing of oil.

The group was given shovels, and each individual had the opportunity to turn soil to symbolize the beginning of the groundbreaking and the construction of the new Threads of Love building. Valerie and Roger Taylor were present to take pictures as well as providing a testimony of what Threads of Love had meant to their lives, and the strengthening of their marriage. Jim Dye made comments for Oak Hills Church, thanking Joe and Liz Page for their leadership, their prayers, and perseverance. The Threads of Love Ministry had a new brochure produced by one of the supporters distributed by Marilyn Moczygemba.

The building is being constructed by Vanguard buildings, and [will] be set on site by Joe Martinez, a local contractor. [At the present time, an exact completion date is not known. However,] there will be a formal dedication upon completion, and the public will be invited to join in the celebration of a facility dedicated to the ministry of families and children."
